"We found Sarah and Courtney through a blind email to the Portside website, and at first, we didn’t realize our good luck. At the time, we lived out of state but had been looking at property online in Maine. We corresponded with them and talked on the… phone, then planned a trip to Portland. Before we arrived, Courtney sent us a detailed list of neighborhoods to explore, along with restaurants and coffee shops that she thought might suit us and our kids (as with so much else, her food recommendations were spot on). Courtney’s thoughtful planning for that trip set the tone for our relationship with her and Sarah during our nearly yearlong search to buy a home. They guided us through a nail-biting night when an offer deadline was suddenly moved up and we were looking at documents on our phones while trying to feed our kids dinner. They consoled us when great properties danced just out of our reach. And finally, they helped us find and clinch the deal on a house that makes sense for our family, and that we love. Even after we closed, their faithful and generous support didn’t end. They have been fonts of knowledge on all things homeowner-related. We’re relieved to have made it this far, but bummed that we don’t get to hang out with Courtney and Sarah on weekends anymore!
